Description

Cube Logic is a first person puzzle game, based on “cognitive dissonance”. The player is dropped in a office cubicle with a list of tasks, where it needs to complete multiple tasks to finish a level. This game was part of the three marmalades, and was created in 2 weeks.

LEARNING ACHIEVEMENTS

Creating TASKS

My focus in this project was to help design to get as much content in the game as quickly as possible. The core of most tasks is based on that objects respawn when both the spawnpoint and the object itself are out of view for the player. Based on this, i needed to sit down with designers on a regular basis, get their ideas, give feedback on it on how to simplify it for implementing it. With this i would create multiple tasks based on their ideas. It was one of the first times where i needed to work closely with design, and I learned how to communicate my problems and help them see how they could change simple things to greatly decrease development time on certain items.
